Jonathan Rivers is a quiet and humble man whose addiction to pain killers and newfound love for alcohol are small compared to the demons of guilt and anger he battles. Jonathan was a devout minister with a large congregation until his wife and 3 children were killed in a car accident. After a particularly long day of church revivals, he was intent on driving his family home when he fell asleep at the wheel and woke up in intensive care with his world and faith shattered. Overcome with grief and a need to drown his pain, he became addicted to prescription drugs. At the insistence of his church's Board of Directors, Jonathan checks into rehab. Besides fighting his addictions, it will force him to come face to face with his real problem, rehabilitating his faith and relationship with God.
